Coordinate transportation activities with external trucking and container transport contractors, selecting suitable transport solutions based on actual operational conditions.
Monitor cargo pickup and delivery status and handle any issues arising with contractors.
Work directly with customers to understand their requirements, provide shipment progress updates, and address related concerns.
Coordinate with the customs clearance team to:
Process ePort and eWMS submissions.
Update delivery status, driver information, and document images on the company’s software system.
Supervise compliance with delivery procedures, ensuring that documents, data, and images are stored accurately and completely.
Track operational progress and provide periodic reports to management regarding transportation status, costs, performance, and any arising issues.
Manage and train dispatch coordinators (if applicable), assign tasks appropriately, and ensure the team operates efficiently.
Job Requirements
College or university degree, preferably in Logistics, Import–Export, Transport Economics, or related fields.
At least 2–3 years of experience in transportation coordination, candidates with experience in logistics or freight forwarding companies are preferred.
Knowledge or experience in field operations (OPS) or hands-on experience in import–export customs operations is an advantage.
Strong ability to work with transportation contractors, handle operational issues, and communicate effectively with customers.
Good management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with transportation management systems, ePort, and eWMS platforms is an advantage.
Proactive, able to work under high pressure, and willing to work overtime when urgent delivery or pickup is required.
